Specimen #01112, 8/30/2000
Wingspan: 4.5 inches (11 cm)
Composition: Sterling silver wire, antique "Don Juan"
razor blades, red anodized fish hook
Comments: Those superthin double edged razor blades
are difficult to work with -- papercut sharp and very flexible.
As a result I had to be careful, otherwise I'd place unnecessary
tension on the blade, and bend them as I wrapped them in wire.
(Or I'd cut myself, but that's another story entirely.) The
pun with the red stinger is, of course, deliberate.
