Today's summary: Photos, vacation in Chincoteague.
We spent a week in Chincoteague at Maria's parents' beach house,
with Josh and flyingcar. Really nice, really fun. We watched tons of
bad kung-fu movies too!

Here's our setup at the beach, on the island of Assateague.
Assateague is the beach/wildlife preserve island right next
to Chincoteague. |
My husband Orlando and my friend flyingcar. Orlando's been growing
his hair out... check out that 'fro! |
My friend Josh. He LOVES the beach here. |
Here's my husband strangling Josh. |
I started out building a sandcastle. Then I changed my mind
and started digging a bathtub instead. Then I changed my mind
again and voila, a bathcastle. |
Another view of the bathcastle and/or sandtub. It held water
pretty well, too, I filled it using a bucket before I finally
decided to dig the gate. |
Sunset. Nice day! |
The islands of Assateague and Chincoteague are famous for
their wild ponies (ever heard of "Misty of Chincoteague"?).
Here's some of 'em. I wonder if the brand indicates the year
they were born? |
Some people letting their kids pet wild animals. They're lucky
they didn't get bitten or kicked, according to Josh... |
A very, very cool junk shop that was down the street from
the beach house. |
Here's the outside of the beach house, the left half of a
duplex. Tiny but good. And free. That's always a plus. |
Kitchen indoors, and flyingcar. |
Table indoors, woo. |
Living room indoors, and Orlando. This was a REALLY TINY house,
I didn't move an inch to take those last three photos... just
turned 120 degrees each time. |
I saw this cat sitting in the middle of the road outside,
far off, and decided to take a picture. |
Yes, it's true -- I made it through the whole trip without there
being ANY pictures of me! Nyahahah!
