Journal entry for October 26, 2001
Today's summary: Relaaaaxing. Movies.
I don't have much to write today. I was at Josh's house all day
with Orlando, my brother, and flyingcar. Lots of fun as usual... We watched
these movies:
I hadn't seen The
Siege before. For the last month people have been calling it
spookily similar to recent events... I'm not so sure that it's incredibly
similar, but it's still very relevant and makes some good points.
Too bad the director got thoroughly dissed at the time because it
was seen as "unrealistic" and "racist". I find the racist accusation
particularly ironic since it's the same director from Glory.
Speaking of movies, Orlando and I went out last night to see Iron
Monkey. It was extremely amusing, your basic wire-fu Robin Hood
story. Not nearly as full of itself as say, Crouching
Tiger.
Scriptwise, Iron
Monkey went like this:
*five lines of dialogue*
*five minutes of kung-fu*
(repeat cycle for 1.5 hours)
Very fun.
