Summary: Gold and silver wire rhino beetle, emperor scorpion sculpture

Recently, I've been working on a nine-specimen commission. There are some sketches online.

I just finished #8 of the 9, a rhino beetle. Gold filled wire, sterling silver, steel blades, scalpels.

Very happy with the results. It feels oddly heavy to me, even though I tried to make sure the body wasn't too dense in the coils.

Next up is an emperor scorpion. This will be a larger specimen than my usual, though not as bulky as the beetle had been (of course)...
