Summary: Making a cement fish fossil sculpture, steps 14-15

Step 14.Ready to sculpt! I textured the slab all over for a "stone" look, using a stiff fiber refinishing sponge. Then I used various household objects to make impressions in the form of a fish.
[sketch]
Sprayed with water as I worked, to keep the cement soft enough to take an impression.

Step 15. (that is a "fifteen". Really. I promise. One-Five.)
Cover with plastic when complete and let it cure for 24 hours. Then uncover and allow it to dry normally. I will spray it with acrylic sealer in a few weeks, when it's bone dry. DONE! I'll write more tomorrow.
