Journal entry for October 12, 2001

Today's summary: Testing out a new digital camera -- sculpture photos.

I'm giving the Nikon Coolpix 995 a test drive... so, I figured I'd try some close zooms of my sculpture and see how the pics turned out. The results are great! I'm impressed. Super-high resolution (although I only posted these at 600 pixels wide). I'm going to try to have one of the full-res pics turned into a photo and a slide, as a test.

The photos below were taken with regular fluorescent light, some on a gray speckled background, and some on white paper.
