Journal entry for November 22, 2001

Today's summary: Thanksgiving, and a dragonfly pin.

Just a quick summary here.

On Thanksgiving I was SO relieved that all my arrangements for L.A. had been made. So, I guess that's one thing I'm thankful for, that these preparations have gone as smoothly as they have.

We had dinner at my parents' new house, which was nice... Good food. Relatives visited us, so we didn't have to travel. It was just very relaxed, very positive.

Last night I made a pin to wear to the gallery opening, so, I wore it to dinner today also. I finally figured out how to make the blades unsharp (or at least less sharp), so it's relatively safe to wear. Hematite beads for eyes, purple niobium, sterling silver, and blowtorch-iridized wings.
