Today's summary: People keep assuming Islam is inherently pro-terrorism...

According to my Muslim friends... if those terrorists were TRULY following Islam, they wouldn't be going out and attacking anybody.

They are just using Islam as an excuse for their America-hating and Israel-hating violence... It's just another way for them to help wash every last shred of doubt from the minds of their extremist followers.

It reminds me of how some scary American cultists use Christianity as an excuse for THEIR activities. Even the KKK uses religion as one of their excuses for hatred.

The religion of Islam condemns this kind of violence... the problem is that some extremists (who claim to be Islamic), promote politically-inspired violence. There's a huge difference there and too many Americans actually think that Islam itself is devoted to violence against others.

I mean, the Koran even says that Jews and Christians are to be respected as brothers, for they are "People of the Book". These are all Abrahamic religions, with common roots. But of course you don't see THAT stopping these terrorists from fighting...

And don't even get me started about the Taliban! I almost hate to say this, but I'm glad the world now has a good excuse to finally get around to perhaps ending the Taliban's horrible human rights violations...
